401(k) Retirement Plan
Voluntary program with optional pre-tax, Roth (401k), and after-tax contributions up to 75% of total compensation, up to annual IRS plan limits. We match 50% on the first 6% of employee pre-tax contributions or Roth (401k) contributions.
Employee Stock Purchase Plan
Voluntary program that allows employees to purchase Palm common stock at a discount.
Medical
Voluntary program that provides medical coverage for employees and eligible family members. Our program providers are Cigna Open Access (www.cigna.com) and Kaiser HMO (www.kp.org/California).
Dental
Voluntary program that provides dental coverage for employees and eligible family members. Our program provider is MetLife (www.metlife.com/dental).
Vision Insurance
Voluntary program that provides vision coverage for employees and eligible family members. Our program provider is Vision Service Plan (www.vsp.com).
Flexible Spending Account
Voluntary program offering pre-tax savings for dependent and/or health care expenses.
Transit Program
Voluntary program that allows you to purchase transit and parking passes on a pre-tax basis.
Time Off
Full-time employees are eligible to receive 15 days as vacation time and 11 total days for major holidays. Part-time employees working over 20 hours a week are also eligible to receive vacation time and company holidays.
Employee Assistance Program
Voluntary program that provides professional assistance for personal and family concerns such as alcohol or drug abuse and work/life counseling.
Short-term and Long-term Disability
Disability plans for short periods (in excess of one week) and longer periods (more than 180 days) to provide income when employees are unable to work because of illness, injury, or pregnancy.
Disability Programs
Voluntary program that provides employee and eligible family members insurance coverage under an accident, critical illness, or disability insurance plan.
Long-term Care
Voluntary program designed for employees and eligible family members who require long-term personal care due to an accident or injury.
Life Insurance
Coverage for basic life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and business travel accident (BTA) insurance. Employees and eligible family members can voluntarily elect supplemental life insurance, supplemental accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and spouse and child life insurance.
Identity Theft Insurance
Coverage that provides expert assistance and financial relief for identify restoration costs and legal defense expenses.
Tuition Reimbursement
Voluntary program that provides financial assistance to approved employees for successfully completing degree programs and individual courses.
Other Programs
Voluntary auto, home, recreational vehicle, and personal excess liability (umbrella) insurance plans are available through MetLife.
Health and Fitness
Fully equipped fitness center, open to all employees and contractors at no charge.
